Overview, features and benefits
- All brake pads are manufactured to OE specifications and exceed ECE R90 standards
- All brake pads are ‘scorched’ to shorten the bedding in process
- OE underlayer technology reduces heat transfer to the brake fluid and reduces noise

Bosch brake pads exceed the ECE-R90 standard.
What the Certificate of Conformity ECE-R90 covers:
- Ensures defined minimum safety requirements
- Is mandatory for all IAM brake pads (in ECE countries)
What it does not cover:
- No comfort standard (noise, vibration, judder)
- No durability standard for pads and discs
- No servere temperature fading test
That’s why we are confident our full range of brake pads excel.
Bosch brake pads have a highly stable coefficient to ensure performance does not diminish even under extreme conditions.
The technology behind the pad...

- Slot(s) – Allow the pad to flex under pressure to prevent the friction material from cracking
- Shims – Damping material – This absorbs vibration and minimises noise
- Chamfers – Reduce noise during ‘bedding-in’ process
- These features are only applied to a brake pad when required
